Encoders are sensors that use electronics to record angle information in an application and convert it into electrical signals. Modern hall effect (magnetic) sensors deliver excellent measurement results. In addition, the service life of the sensors is particularly long thanks to the contactless measuring principle.

Our MTH22E is a 10 turn hall effect potentiometer providing an analog 0.5V - 4.5V output.

The ETA25PM and HTA36PM electrical angle of rotation (up to 72000º, 200 turns) and the direction of rotation (CW / CCW) can be programmed in the field.

 

How and Where They Work

Based on hall effect (magnetic) technology, there is no need for a sliding wiper required by traditional wire-wound multi-turn potentiometers. Sliding noise is completely eliminated and life rotating cycles is massively increased. These advantages make them ideal replacements to traditional wire wound types in industrial applications across all industries.

Measuring up to 200 turns is possible. User programmability of measuring angle (number of turns) is also possible on site.
