The P41 series of ultrasonic level sensors feature an analog output (0V–10V or 4mA–20mA) or two switching outputs (NPN or PNP). A hold/sync-function is integrated. Both of these outputs are programmed by teach-in. This is done very simply and accurately via a built-in pushbutton in conjunction with the P1 and P2 indicator LEDs. The Echo LED (EC) is ‘ON’ when the echo is received (this is the alignment LED confirming that the target is properly aligned).

P41 ultrasonic level sensors for liquids are built in a compact cubic design (101 x 36 x 22 mm), which can be installed with minimum space requirements. The sensors are enclosed in strong Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) housing for industrial applications. The equipment is rated IP67 for robust protection against dust, sand, and liquid immersion.

Ultrasonic sensors can measure anything from water to chemicals and agitated liquids. They’re equally proficient at detecting the position of semi-solid and solid substances, including glass, bulk materials, and moving machine parts.
