P3 America stocks potentiometers actuated by a push rod, with an internal sealing that provides an IP65 protection grade. We also carry linear motion potentiometers actuated by a sliding magnetic cursor. These potentiometers feature a sealing of IP67 and can be used in hydraulic applications with max. 250 bar.

The potentiometric distance measurement is carried out with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistive element. The displacement encoder has a very long lifetime and high accuracy due to its good linearity. Since the potentiometric measuring principle delivers absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature-stable, and robust against EMC influences.

Industrial grade with high precision, both the IP65 and IP67 potentiometers are fully protected against dust ingress (dust tight). IP65 can withstand direct water jets and IP67 can withstand temporary water immersion.
